We welcome hospitals and local health councils to join our fight against NEC.
We are building a network in Brazil of health establishments and local health councils interested in tackling NEC.
Once an institution or local council going PGG, it will receive a link to questionnaire that is to be filled in at the end of each month, with information on NEC incidence. PGG aims to build a large data bank on the disease in Brazil that will be available to researchers both nationally as well as internationally.
PGG, on the other hand, will make available to these institutions access to neonatologists who can advise doctors on best practices of treatment and diagnosis as well as consulting on individual cases. The aim is to build and spread knowledge about the disease.
Also, every institution that joins our project will be able to offer our free, specialised, psychological assistance to families of affected babies.
